Recently Finished!

Smut by Karina Halle

I saw everyone on Goodreads reading ‘smut’ and decided to give it a try. I wasn’t disappointed at all! Smut, is a great read that will have you looking side to side just to see if anyone sees that you’re blushing from a book and having you actually LOL!

Batgirl by Cameron Stewart

Saga by Brian K. Vaughan

A Courtroom of Ashes

I just bought Batgirl yesterday and It was only because my little brother took me to a comic store and I was casually just sitting down waiting for him to get his book. What I didn’t expect was to just look up and my eyes land on Batgirl. I honestly was in love with the cover and it doesn’t make it better that I loveeee Marvels! I just started reading the comic and I can’t put it down!

I saw Saga everywhere I went. I went to Barnes and Noble, and that’s when I first saw the comic book. I always wanted to read a comic, but I just couldn’t bring myself to it, and I don’t know why so when I saw Saga I didn’t buy it right away. Went on Goodreads and I saw that all my friends on there were reading it, went on Instagram and my followers were reading and loving it. So, what the heck, right? I fell into the peer pressure and bought Saga, and I’m going to start that after Batgirl. Plus, the book cover is beautiful!

I’m slowly but surely getting done with A Courtroom of Ashes. I don’t know why I’m dragging my feet with it because I like it, but I feel like that’s the problem, I just like it. I’m probably pushing it aside just because nothing’s big happened yet but I’m going to finish it. I do have a small part of me that’s saying “you’ll regret it if you don’t finish this book!” so my “slowly but surely” will be turning into “steady and finished.”

Reading Next!

I’ve been wanting to read this series for awhile and I finally received it in the mail! I also found out that the series is coming to an end soon so I need to catch up!

Title: Swear On This Life

Author: Renée Carlino

Publication Date: August 9th, 2016

Blurb: When a bestselling debut novel from mysterious author J.Colby becomes the literary event of the year, Emiline reads it reluctantly. As an adjunct writing instructor at UC San Diego with her own stalled literary career and a bumpy long-term relationship, Emiline isn’t thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of a young and gifted writer.

Yet from the very first page, Emiline is entranced by the story of Emerson and Jackson, two childhood best friends who fall in love and dream of a better life beyond the long dirt road that winds through their impoverished town in rural Ohio.

That’s because the novel is patterned on Emiline’s own dark and desperate childhood, which means that “J. Colby” must be Jase: the best friend and first love she hasn’t seen in over a decade. Far from being flattered that he wrote the novel from her perspective, Emiline is furious that he co-opted her painful past and took some dramatic creative liberties with the ending.

The only way she can put her mind at ease is to find and confront “J. Colby,” but is she prepared to learn the truth behind the fiction?

What are you guys waiting on this week? 🙂
